Much Needed Rains Attributed to Wastewater Overflow
Kerr County and the Kerrville area received much needed rains Thursday as the Kerrville area received in excess of 2.4" of rainfall, most within a two hour period. The unusually heavy rains caused two of the City's 26 sewer lift stations to overflow. When any area receives that much heavy rain so quickly the water can find its way into the collection system. "We are vigilant in our constant efforts to keep our system as water tight as possible", states Charlie Hastings, City of Kerrville Public Works Director.
